Freeze Any Leftovers

Freeze Any Leftovers

This week's Frugal Friday focuses on leftovers! Did you make too much of a meal, or not feed as many as you originally thought? Or, you just don't know HOW to cook small meals. We get it. But now you've spent so much on cooking a large meal, you'd hate to just waste it. Well, be frugal and freeze it! Don't be shy. Some of those frozen leftovers actually taste better the second or third time around.

Unplanned Meal Planning

Think of it as "meal planning" even though you didn't really "plan" to make that much. Busy night with ballgames, or meetings? Want a home cooked meal without having to cook? Dig out some leftovers, and you'll have a full meal in a matter of minutes. You may also have lunch or dinner to bring with to work. It's a win-win, because now you're not spending money on going out to eat. You might even have that opportunity to pick up an extra work hour and this will allow you to work through lunch since you brought yours.

Leftovers Aren't Your 'Thing'?

If leftovers aren't really your thing, at least you'll have frozen meals to take to a friend, family member or even a local shut-in. You'll feel much better knowing that someone is getting a warm meal, instead of donating it to the trash can.
