In the famous words of Sargent Major, Bill Paxton, "May we never forget our fallen comrades. Freedom isn't free." And he's absolutely right. Memorial day isn't a day to celebrate. It's a day to pay homage to those soldiers who didn't make it home. It's a day to remember those that laid down their lives to protect our country and values, so that we may have the freedoms we have today.
